Benedetto is the second Cambridge-based Italian restaurant from Chef Michael Pagliarini and co-owner Pamela Ralston. Pagliarini and Ralston's first restaurant, Giulia, opened in 2012 to wide acclaim. Inspired by the honesty and wisdom of traditional Italian regional cooking, the team at Benedetto aspires to be interpreters and caretakers of these great traditions, with both genuine hospitality and exquisite craft in the kitchen. The refreshed restaurant space showcases a world-class design from the New York-based Bentel & Bentel architectural team, drawing influence from the rural sophistication of Umbria and Tuscany. Benedetto features a variety of signature pastas and desserts, all handcrafted in-house, as well as an extensive wine list and well-rounded beverage program. Benedetto has a vibrant and casual bar linking to a beautiful, upscale dining room with plenty of culinary activity, a working pasta table and extensive wine display. Seasonally, the outdoor patio serves both beverages and food in Italian café style.
The cuisine is built on the foundation of refined cooking with bold flavors and rich textures to offer a balanced menu with prime meats and seafood along with dishes created to showcase the freshest vegetables and legumes in season. While dinner is the main event at Benedetto, the dessert and beverage programs are not to be overlooked. Classic Italian desserts including house-made gelatos, sorbettos, chocolates, and biscotti are crafted to perfection by Pastry Chef Renae Connolly to top dinner off on a sweet note. A robust beverage program also complements the Benedetto experience with a bold variety of Italian cocktails, small batch craft beers, and an extensive wine collection.
