Regattabar Kid's Summer Music Series

2009 Regattabar Jazz Festival Line-Up Announced
Regattabar, the renowned jazz institution in The Charles Hotel in the heart of Harvard Square, announces the line-up for its 2009 Regattabar Jazz Festival. The 24th year of this festival begins on February 6, 2009 with a three-month schedule of artists including Grammy-nominated Cassandra Wilson and John Scofield, and Grammy-winner McCoy Tyner.

Fresh & Honest: Food from the Farms of New England and the Kitchen of Henrietta's Table
Chef Peter Davis of Henrietta's Table at The Charles Hotel in Cambridge's Harvard Square released his first cookbook, FRESH & HONEST: FOOD FROM THE FARMS OF NEW ENGLAND AND THE KITCHEN OF HENRIETTA'S TABLE (Three Bean Press, LLC, © November 2008). As the bandwagon of sustainable agriculture, organic eating and “slow food” becomes increasingly filled with diners, home cooks and professional chefs alike, there are a few who have been riding it—and arguably, driving it—for decades. Chef Peter Davis is one of those few, and FRESH & HONEST is a monument to his love of delicious, fresh foods and the New England farmers and producers who supply them.

The Charles Hotel Participates in Preferred Hotel's Charity Program, "GIFTTS"
In its second year, Preferred Hotel Group’s philanthropic initiative “The Giving Room”, has tripled in participation, totaling 61 members worldwide. Through August 31, for every night a hotel’s designated “Giving Room” is occupied, 10 percent of the selected room or suite’s revenue will be donated to the hotel’s charity of choice. At the conclusion of the program, donations will be matched by funds from the Ueberroth Family Foundation.

The Regattabar Kids Summer Music Series
Parents, get your dancing shoes on, as your kids won't be the only ones feeling the beat at the Regattabar's popular Kids Summer Music Series this summer. The second annual series returns with Grammy winning Bill Harley, who will kick off the series on Sunday, July 20. Shows will continue for the next three consecutive Sundays featuring Laughing Pizza, Debbie and Friends and Michael and Marissa.
