In Search of Earth’s Secrets is a new temporary exhibit at the Museum of Science. Enjoy hands-on experiences while learning about earthquakes, volcanoes, and the dinosaur extinction. It highlights the JOIDES Resolution, a seagoing research vessel that drills core samples and collects measurements from under the ocean floor. Explore the Earth’s magnetism, extract a core sample, and play with a giant geology map puzzle!

In Search of Earth’s Secrets has been funded by a grant from the National Science Foundation.

The acoustic jazz ensemble, Rhythm Future Quartet has a straightforward agenda: to keep the spirit of Gypsy jazz alive and expanding in today’s musical universe. The virtuosic foursome, named for a Django Reinhardt tune, offers up a newly minted sound, influenced by the classic Hot Club of France, yet wholly contemporary. Founded by violinist Jason Anick, the quartet performs dynamic and lyrical arrangements of both Gypsy jazz standards and original compositions that draw upon diverse international rhythms and musical idioms. With Henry Acker, Bruno Peterson, and Greg Loughman rounding out the quartet, Rhythm Future is dedicated to expanding the boundaries of a vital musical genre.

Eugène Ionesco’s landmark play is staged in a new adaptation by A.R.T. based on Derek Prouse’s seminal translation.

Tony Award winner Diane Paulus (“one of the most imaginative forces working in theater,” Broadway.com) directs her final production at the Loeb Drama Center before the A.R.T.’s move to its new home in Allston, the Goel Center for Creativity & Performance.
